Personal Biography
Simon is an experience designer and facilitator with 15 years in human services across homelessness, youth work, adventure therapy, settlement support, and education. He has designed and delivered behavioural change programs, group experiences, and facilitated sessions in both Australian and international contexts — including managing education delivery in Vietnam.
His design philosophy is grounded in what actually happens in a room. Years of group facilitation have shaped how he builds programs — with attention to the sequencing that creates safety, the questions that surface honesty, and the pacing that lets a difficult conversation become a useful one. The design and the facilitation inform each other.
His lens on the middle is the one developed by living the role he now designs programs for. He has held middle management positions in multiple sectors and multiple countries, and understands the daily structural reality of being asked to translate decisions made elsewhere to teams you cannot fully protect — because he has done it.
Beyond the middle, Simon works across organisational design, workforce strategy, and the operational realities of human services delivery. His university education spans global development, human services, and group dynamics. He is based in Brisbane.
